In a couple of weeks, you will be entering one of the biggest, most exciting transitions of your lives. You’ll explore new buildings, learn new things, and meet tons of new people. Whether you’re moving to residence from another city or commuting from your home, you will have the chance to begin a new chapter of your life.
Keeping that in mind, we understand that all these changes can also be really overwhelming. School can get hectic, and it’s hard being away from home. Sometimes, you might wonder how you fit in amongst a cohort of 200 other amazing individuals. But that’s why we’ve made this website.
After hours of discussion, days of not knowing what we're doing, and months of web design, we are proud to present Pathogens of McMaster. We believe that each person on this site has written his or her own unique story at McMaster, waiting to be shared. Our pathogens are involved in a diverse range of activities, from being on the cheerleading team to attending culinary school. They’ve also shared some advice about their greatest difficulties and happiest moments. But most of all, we want you to know that each pathogen has been in the same place as you, just a couple of years ago.
There is no singular “perfect” health sci, because you are an individual who will thrive in your own way. Notice how no two pathogens are alike. You, as well, have an opportunity to shape your own undergraduate experience. While pathogens might be sharing their insight now, so too will you in a couple of years.
We want you to know that you aren’t alone in this huge transition into university. Every single one of us is eager and thrilled to be there for you at every step of your journey. In addition to the 80 pathogens, you will also have the full support of the BHSc Office and your 202 other amazing peers. We hope that you enjoy connecting with Pathogens, BHSc staff and other students throughout your Welcome Week, and we wish you the best of luck on your adventures.
Welcome to the Wolfpack Class of 2019! AaaOoooooo!
